Pump.fun Price Forecast: PUMP breakout gains momentum amid elevated platform revenue

Source Fxstreet
  • PUMP breaks out and trades toward $0.0060 on Tuesday amid increasing retail activity.
  • Pump.fun platform revenue surged to $9.7 million last week, indicating rising user activity.
  • PUMP buyers are taking on more risk as momentum indicators edge higher, supporting the short-term bullish outlook.

Pump.fun (PUMP) extends its rally near $0.0060 on Tuesday, indicating growing risk-on sentiment. The meme coin launchpad is also seeing rising user engagement, adding support to the current bullish outlook. A break above the next key hurdle at $0.0060 would reinforce the bullish grip, while a rejection could trigger profit-taking amid buyer exhaustion.

Pump.fun launchpad revenue boosts recovery outlook

Pump.fun revenue increased last week through Sunday, reaching $9.7 million, from $7.5 million the week before, according to Defi Llama. Despite the revenue sitting at September lows of $6.1 million, it remains below the August peak of $11 million. That means user engagement has cooled compared to several weeks back.

An extended revenue growth pattern would reinforce PUMP’s short to medium-term bullish outlook, given that the network directs part of the revenue into a token buyback program.

The derivatives market mirrors the increase in platform revenue, with perpetual futures Open Interest (OI) at 94 billion PUMP, up from 85 billion PUMP the day before and notably higher compared to the monthly low of 78 billion PUMP on September 19. This steady increase in OI suggests rising risk-on sentiment in the retail market, as investors anticipate higher prices.

Technical analysis: PUMP sustains rally

PUMP trades at $0.0058, extending a bullish near-term bias as price holds well above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). The SuperTrend indicator at $0.0036 sits comfortably below the market, reinforcing underlying support, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 69 flirts with overbought territory, suggesting buyers remain in control but could soon face consolidation.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator shows the line marginally positive, suggesting a constructive momentum backdrop aligned with the prevailing uptrend.

PUMP/USDT daily chart

On the downside, immediate support lies at higher psychological levels, including $0.0055 and $0.0050, followed by the 50-day EMA at $0.0039, followed by the SuperTrend line at $0.0036, which together define the first demand zone if the token retreats from current highs.

Deeper pullbacks would expose the 100-day EMA at $0.0033 ahead of the longer-term 200-day EMA at $0.0028, where broader trend buyers may look to re-enter. With no clear overhead levels on the daily chart, upside progress is mainly constrained by momentum conditions, and the RSI’s near-overbought reading suggests that while the broader bias stays bullish, fresh long positions may prefer entries on dips toward the cited supports rather than chasing strength at current levels.

Bitcoin, altcoins, stablecoins FAQs

Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, a virtual currency designed to serve as money. This form of payment cannot be controlled by any one person, group, or entity, which eliminates the need for third-party participation during financial transactions.

Altcoins are any cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin, but some also regard Ethereum as a non-altcoin because it is from these two cryptocurrencies that forking happens. If this is true, then Litecoin is the first altcoin, forked from the Bitcoin protocol and, therefore, an “improved” version of it.

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies designed to have a stable price, with their value backed by a reserve of the asset it represents. To achieve this, the value of any one stablecoin is pegged to a commodity or financial instrument, such as the US Dollar (USD), with its supply regulated by an algorithm or demand. The main goal of stablecoins is to provide an on/off-ramp for investors willing to trade and invest in cryptocurrencies. Stablecoins also allow investors to store value since cryptocurrencies, in general, are subject to volatility.

Bitcoin dominance is the ratio of Bitcoin's market capitalization to the total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies combined. It provides a clear picture of Bitcoin’s interest among investors. A high BTC dominance typically happens before and during a bull run, in which investors resort to investing in relatively stable and high market capitalization cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. A drop in BTC dominance usually means that investors are moving their capital and/or profits to altcoins in a quest for higher returns, which usually triggers an explosion of altcoin rallies.

Nvidia's $150 billion buyback landed — and the AI sector fell anyway. That's the signal worth tradingNvidia closed up 1.68% at $228.86 on 28 September after announcing a $150 billion share repurchase authorisation, the largest single corporate buyback on record, while the rest of the AI complex sold off: AMD -3.6%, Micron -2.6%, Meta -4.8% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index -1.61%. The divergence is not noise. Capital is rotating toward cash-flow certainty, not abandoning the AI theme. With Micron reporting after the close on 30 September, here is what the split means.

The 30-year Treasury just hit a 22-year high — and the bond market is not pricing the Fed, it is pricing the deficitThe 30-year Treasury yield closed at 5.56% on 28 September, the highest since June 2004, while the 10-year reached 5.24% and the 20-year 5.60%. The curve has steepened roughly 30bp in eight sessions even as October hike odds sit at 70.3%. That gap is the story: the long end is repricing fiscal and inflation risk, not policy. With PCE on Wednesday and payrolls on Friday, here is what the long end is really saying.
