Peter Brandt Names This Altcoin a Long-Shot Bet for the Years Ahead

Veteran trader Peter Brandt is calling Stellar (XLM) a long-shot bet worth watching over the next few years, pointing to chart signals rather than hype or ideology.

His comment lands as XLM gains momentum, fueled by fresh technical patterns and real institutional adoption.

What Did Peter Brandt Say About XLM?

A long-shot bet describes a speculative position with uncertain odds but potentially outsized rewards if it plays out. Brandt, a widely followed Market Wizard, shared the view with his 1.3 million followers on X. He wrote that stellar looks like a good pick for that kind of trade.

“I do not need to understand an asset to trade it. Price is the only thing that matters to me,” Brandt said on X.

He paired the comment with a chart analysis rather than a firm prediction. Brandt has built his reputation over decades of classical technical analysis across multiple asset classes. XLM currently trades near $0.2309, according to BeInCrypto data.

The token has gained roughly 11% over the past 24 hours. Over the past month, it has climbed about 28%, extending a broader recovery from earlier lows.

Other chartists share the constructive read. Dark Defender posted an updated chart on September 28. His analysis pointed to further upside potential, building on an earlier mid-September read.

Why Is Stellar Gaining Real-World Momentum?

Recent infrastructure news may be reinforcing the renewed interest. On September 22, Mastercard-owned BVNK integrated the Stellar network into its stablecoin payments platform. The move gives enterprise clients single-API access to Stellar’s fast, low-cost rails.

Those rails now cover more than 130 markets worldwide. They support cross-border payments, payouts, remittances, and treasury transfers for large institutions. Days later, Spectra Finance launched fixed-term markets for a tokenized Janus Henderson treasury product on Stellar.

That deployment lets users trade principal and yield tokens separately. It expands fixed-income options for real-world assets on the network. Together, these developments build on Stellar’s long-standing focus on payments and tokenization.

The network has increasingly positioned itself as infrastructure for institutions rather than just retail trading. Brandt framed XLM as speculative rather than a sure thing. Outcomes still depend on continued adoption and broader market conditions.

Nvidia's $150 billion buyback landed — and the AI sector fell anyway. That's the signal worth tradingNvidia closed up 1.68% at $228.86 on 28 September after announcing a $150 billion share repurchase authorisation, the largest single corporate buyback on record, while the rest of the AI complex sold off: AMD -3.6%, Micron -2.6%, Meta -4.8% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index -1.61%. The divergence is not noise. Capital is rotating toward cash-flow certainty, not abandoning the AI theme. With Micron reporting after the close on 30 September, here is what the split means.

The 30-year Treasury just hit a 22-year high — and the bond market is not pricing the Fed, it is pricing the deficitThe 30-year Treasury yield closed at 5.56% on 28 September, the highest since June 2004, while the 10-year reached 5.24% and the 20-year 5.60%. The curve has steepened roughly 30bp in eight sessions even as October hike odds sit at 70.3%. That gap is the story: the long end is repricing fiscal and inflation risk, not policy. With PCE on Wednesday and payrolls on Friday, here is what the long end is really saying.
