Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, announced in an X post on Monday that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has granted final approval to charter Ripple National Trust Bank (RNTB). The federally supervised national bank demonstrates Ripple's progress toward building digital asset infrastructure within a regulated financial system.
The approval enables RNTB to manage the Ripple USD (RLUSD) reserves, positioning itself as a collateral trustee for RLUSD holders and expanding its digital asset custody services. RNTB brings federal oversight to the regulatory infrastructure supporting RLUSD, issued by its Standard Custody & Trust Company (SCTC).
In short, the establishment of RNTB could boost RLUSD’s capability in the existing payments, trading, and treasury infrastructure. Despite the recent RNTB development, the XRP token remains capped.

At the time of writing, XRP edges lower around $1.30 on Tuesday, keeping persistent downside pressure on the $1.2941 support level, set by the June 15 high. The price holds below both the 50‑day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.3602 and the 200‑day EMA at $1.3894, reinforcing a capped structure.
Momentum remains weak, with the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line marginally below zero, hinting at weak downside momentum rather than an aggressive selloff. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 40 remains below the mid-50s zone, suggesting subdued buying interest.
A confirmed breakout below $1.2941 could extend the decline toward the $1.1866 horizontal support, marked by the June 8 high.
Looking up, immediate resistance emerges at the 50‑day EMA around $1.3602, followed by a stronger barrier at the 200‑day EMA near $1.3894, where sellers are likely to defend the broader bearish structure.
