Perpetua Resources announced progress in the construction of an access road that will provide year-round access to the future open-pit gold and antimony mine.
The development of the access road is an important step in the asset's development, as it will allow Perpetua to transport larger loads and equipment.
Other developments include the establishment of infrastructure to support workers on site, as well as ongoing deliveries of powerline supplies to meet the power needs of the processing facility and site operations.
In addition, Perpetua reported that it is continuing with its drilling program at the Stibnite Project, where the company recently discovered high gold grades and tungsten mineralization.
While the market seems unimpressed with the company's update, current shareholders shouldn't interpret today's mild sell-off as a sign that anything is wrong. It seems investors were hoping to hear that the company was ahead of schedule in commencing commercial operations, which are expected in 2029. Consequently, the decline of this mining stock today seems much ado about nothing.
