Top 3 Price Prediction: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple – BTC steadies after strong rally, ETH and XRP ease into consolidation

Source Fxstreet
  • Bitcoin steadies around $86,300 on Wednesday after rallying over 6% so far this week.
  • Ethereum trades around $2,751 mid-week, following a massive rally as traders take a breather.
  • XRP hovers around $1.57 after recording five consecutive days of gains, with bulls looking to extend the rally.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) bulls take a breather mid-week after gains of 6%, 4%, and 13% so far this week. BTC consolidates at $86,300, ETH hovers around $2,751, and XRP is at $1.57. The price action of these top three cryptocurrencies suggests bulls remain in control, although traders may have taken profits after the recent sharp rally.

Bitcoin consolidates after massive rally

Bitcoin price trades at $86,364 on Wednesday after surging over 6% so far this week. The Crypto King extends the strong bullish phase as it holds well above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), clustered between roughly $72,900 and $75,880.

BTC has also pushed decisively above the previously marked horizontal support at $85,000, turning the recent breakout into a consolidation at elevated levels. Momentum remains constructive, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 72, in overbought territory but still pointing to persistent buying pressure. At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) stands in positive territory with its line above the signal and a widening positive histogram, hinting that the uptrend remains intact for now.

On the downside, initial support is seen at the recent breakout level near $85,000, followed by dynamic demand at the 50-day EMA around $75,880 and the longer-term 200-day EMA near $73,763, with the 100-day EMA at $72,890 reinforcing that broader support band. Deeper pullbacks would expose the earlier horizontal levels at $66,500 and $62,300, where buyers could re-emerge if a larger corrective phase unfolds. At the same time, the absence of nearby overhead resistance on this chart suggests that any fresh highs above the current price would leave BTC to sustain further gains toward the $100,000 mark.

Ethereum bulls in control of the momentum

Ethereum price trades at $2,751 on Wednesday, extending a bullish near-term bias as price holds well above the 50-day EMA at $2,371 and the longer-term 100-day and 200-day EMAs at $2,222 and $2,238, respectively. The clustering of these EMAs below spot suggests a firmly supported uptrend, while the RSI near 69 hints at strong but increasingly stretched momentum. The MACD is positive and rising, reinforcing the constructive tone as buyers retain control.

On the downside, immediate support is seen at the recent horizontal level near $2,500, ahead of the 50-day EMA at $2,371, with deeper demand expected around the $2,238–$2,222 EMA zone and then $2,000.

On the topside, the next key hurdle is horizontal resistance at $3,000; a sustained break would open the door for further gains, while failure to clear this barrier could trigger consolidation back toward the $2,500 area.

XRP bulls aiming for $1.90 mark

XRP price trades at $1.576 on Wednesday, extending its advance well above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs, which cluster between roughly $1.281 and $1.360 and reinforce a constructive near-term bullish bias. The RSI at 67 hovers just below the overbought threshold, while the MACD has turned positive, both suggesting firm upward momentum but also hinting that upside could start to lose traction if buying pressure stretches further without consolidation.

On the topside, the next notable barrier is the horizontal resistance at $1.900, which is the immediate objective for bulls and a potential profit-taking zone.

On the downside, first support emerges from the 200-day EMA at $1.360, followed by the 50-day EMA near $1.327 and the horizontal floor at $1.300, with additional demand seen at the 100-day EMA around $1.281; only a deeper slide towards the longer-term structural base at $1.000 would materially undermine the current bullish structure.

Cryptocurrency prices FAQs

Token launches influence demand and adoption among market participants. Listings on crypto exchanges deepen the liquidity for an asset and add new participants to an asset’s network. This is typically bullish for a digital asset.

A hack is an event in which an attacker captures a large volume of the asset from a DeFi bridge or hot wallet of an exchange or any other crypto platform via exploits, bugs or other methods. The exploiter then transfers these tokens out of the exchange platforms to ultimately sell or swap the assets for other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins. Such events often involve an en masse panic triggering a sell-off in the affected assets.

Macroeconomic events like the US Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates influence crypto assets mainly through the direct impact they have on the US Dollar. An increase in interest rate typically negatively influences Bitcoin and altcoin prices, and vice versa. If the US Dollar index declines, risk assets and associated leverage for trading gets cheaper, in turn driving crypto prices higher.

Halvings are typically considered bullish events as they slash the block reward in half for miners, constricting the supply of the asset. At consistent demand if the supply reduces, the asset’s price climbs.
