Water150 Surges Into New Growth Chapter With Investment and Logistical Support from International Construction Giant, Borga

Water150’s vision to build a global ecosystem of natural water wells securing and delivering access rights to at least 150 years of premium quality spring water got a significant financial and strategic boost from Borga, a hall construction company with a multinational presence throughout Europe and deep roots in Western Sweden.

Borga earned its reputation as one of Europe’s most reputable hall construction groups by focusing on the manufacture and assembly of components for steel buildings, roof systems and wall cladding. The firm has its headquarters and development units in Skara, Sweden, with production facilities in Sweden, Poland, and Lithuania and a sales network that spreads across 12 countries.

Water150’s innovative journey is poised for a reputational and productivity boost, building on the steady foundation that the European construction giant, Borga provides as an investor and majority stakeholder after the firm expressed its commitment to supporting Water150’s future growth goals of creating a reserve of premium spring water in a sustainable 150-year ecosystem.

Borga represents the growing institutional backing that Water150 has been receiving since the project arrived on the scene. Different partners have come on board to add a healthy mix of financial, logistical and advisory support as Water150 steadily consolidates on the early success of its historic well in Sätra Brunn, building up to the ultimate goal of 210 billion liters of water, secured in 1,000 proposed water wells spread all over the globe and managed according to the Longhouse Water Quality Standard.

“At Borga, the only thing that is constant is change, and we’re always looking for opportunities to develop our business. From the team to the idea and proof of concept that Water150 has already delivered with its early success to date, we’re confident that the project has everything it needs to succeed as a new-age business, and we’re excited to be a part of its story right now and helping it along in its journey.” – Peder Dagsanth, CEO

“Borga has built a successful business by building other successful businesses, literally. Now that it has become a majority stakeholder in Water150, we’ve gained more than just the financial backing of one of the most reputable firms in Europe; we have earned a stamp of approval that we expect to accelerate our surge to the top. The peculiarity of this relationship is not lost on us either: this is a construction industry heavyweight backing a relatively nascent blockchain-powered water project. We consider this the ultimate statement of confidence in our vision and look forward to repaying with success.”  – Jörgen Ringman (Founder)

Water150’s rolodex of institutional-grade partners and supporters continues to grow, adding to the momentum they have  gained through strategic tie-ups with traditionally successful entities looking to expand into innovative, emerging technologies.
