Apple Hits All-Time High of $348.15, Market Cap Tops $503 Million: Reasons Behind the Stock Surge Revealed

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - Apple (AAPL) stock hit an intraday all-time high of $348.15 on October 13, 2026, rising over 2% at one point, with the company's market capitalization surpassing $503 million.

This breakout was not driven by a single piece of news, but rather resulted from a triple catalyst: its smart home business, iPhone market performance, and earnings expectations.

Three Catalysts Push to a New High

1. Apple officially expands its smart home footprint. At a new product launch event held on October 13, Apple introduced the HomeView smart home display priced at $299, while updating the HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K, and partnering with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric to launch the Home Collection. Powered by Siri AI, HomeView can be used for entertainment, video calls, and controlling devices such as cameras, door locks, and thermostats, and is expected to go on sale on November 13.

2. iPhone market share continues to rise. According to preliminary data released by Counterpoint Research, Apple's global smartphone market share rose to 22% in the third quarter of 2026, surpassing 20% for the first time. This indicates that the new iPhone product cycle remains highly attractive, prompting the market to reassess Apple's growth potential in the premium smartphone market.

3. Fundamentals and institutional expectations improve in tandem. Apple's revenue in the previous quarter reached $109.42 billion, up 16% year-over-year; revenue from Wearables, Home and Accessories reached $7.88 billion, up 6% year-over-year. On October 12, JPMorgan maintained its "Overweight" rating on Apple and raised its target price from $340 to $360, demonstrating continued institutional confidence in Apple's new product cycle and services growth.

Is This a Breakthrough?

From a technical standpoint, Apple's stock price has broken above its previous high, turning the former peak of $344 into a new key support level. If the stock can consistently close above this level in the future, the share price may further challenge the Fibonacci extension level of $356 or even higher.

From a fundamental perspective, however, this remains a breakout that needs to be validated by earnings results. The smart home business currently accounts for only about 7% of Apple's total revenue, and whether HomeView can truly unlock a new growth curve still depends on product sales, the Siri AI experience, and whether Apple can capture market share from Amazon and Google.

Next Test: Nov. 2, 2026 Earnings Report

The next earnings report will test three things: whether demand for new iPhone products remains sustained, whether the Services business can maintain growth, and whether new products such as HomeView can drive an acceleration in the Home and Accessories business.

If Apple can prove that the new product cycle is translating into higher revenue and profits, levels above $348 could serve as the starting point for a new rally; if sales or guidance fall short of expectations, the record high could also turn into the starting point for short-term profit-taking.

Bitcoin's V-shaped rebound: from $80,953 back above $83,000 — spot buyers step in as the Fed softens, but ETF outflows lingerBitcoin slid to $80,953 on October 13 — then snapped back above $83,000, reclaiming the 81,847–82,305 'golden zone' on spot-led buying as Williams and Waller cooled the Fed's hawkish tone and the dollar pulled back from its 18-month high.
