Crypto Influencer ‘BitBoy’ Arrested Over Alleged Threats To Judge

Crypto influencer Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong was seen in handcuffs in Florida, reports say. The Volusia County Division of Corrections verified the arrest, which occurred at about 7:18 PM local time on March 25, 2025. This adds another twist to the already scandalous past of the online personality.

Warrant Linked To Judge Threats

Though official charges haven’t been declared by Florida authorities, the motive for Armstrong’s arrest appears to indicate threats allegedly levelled against a US Judge in Georgia. Her name is Kimberly Childs.

Armstrong himself had even mentioned this possibility a few days ago. On March 21st, he even declared that an arrest warrant had been issued against him. He explained this was because of emails he wrote to Judge Childs when he was defending himself in a court fight.

Past Legal Troubles Surface

This is not the first time that Armstrong has crossed paths with the law. Previously, in September 2023, he was arrested while he was having a fight with a former business associate. The fight, allegedly over a Lamborghini, was even live-streamed then. This earlier incident reveals a pattern of public and at times combative incidents with the crypto influencer.

Controversies Beyond The Courtroom

Armstrong’s past goes beyond mere legal troubles. He has been criticized for promoting several digital tokens, such as the memecoin BEN. Some of his followers said they lost money after taking his advice.

There was also a defamation case that was later dismissed. To the list of controversies are also allegations that Armstrong harassed opposing attorneys in a class-action suit. All these previous incidents add up to the rich history behind his recent arrest.

Arrest Puts Armstrong’s Legal Issues In The Spotlight Again

How these charges turn out and what the long-term implications are for his reputation in the crypto world remain to be seen.

Based on his past, this latest episode is likely to be a catalyst for more debate and scrutiny of his behavior and impact in the digital currency world.

The information coming out of the Volusia County Division of Corrections and subsequent statements from the participating legal teams will be closely monitored by Armstrong’s career-watchers and the general crypto community.
