Altcoin Season Index Surges Past Bitcoin to 78 – Best Altcoins to Buy Now

Source Bitcoinist

The Altcoin Season Index (ASI) is currently 78, and an on-chain analyst suggests it’s just the beginning.

One such coin making moves is Solana ($SOL), up by 8% since last week. When bigger coins rally, smaller altcoins typically follow.

This makes now a timely moment to check out the best altcoins to buy before their prices likely surge.

New Altcoin Season Started Just Six Days Ago

Blockchaincenter’s ASI reading of 78 confirms that most altcoins are now outperforming $BTC. In comparison, a score below 25 would indicate Bitcoin season.

The data also highlights that this altcoin season started just six days ago. Historically, these runs last around 17 days, yet they’re no strangers to extending much longer.

Boosting this positive outlook, crypto analyst ‘Cryptollica’ found that in 2017 and 2021, similar chart patterns in the Total2 market cap preceded massive rallies. The 2025 chart now echoes these past bullish setups.

Before the market fully takes off, now could be a great time to check out promising altcoins like Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER), Starpower ($STAR), and Snorter Token ($SNORT).

1. Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) – L2 Scaling Solution Bringing Solana-Level Speeds to Bitcoin

$HYPER is the foundation of Bitcoin Hyper, a Layer-2 (L2) solution under development to fix Bitcoin’s scalability and usability woes.

Once launched this quarter, the L2 network will leverage a Canonical Bridge and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM). Doing so will bring smart contract execution, faster settlements, and lower fees to Bitcoin.

Unlocking this utility means more capital is bound to flow into Bitcoin. As such, it has what it takes to significantly boost the network’s $8.619B Total Value Locked (TVL), which is currently far behind Ethereum’s $94.552B.

Then, there’s the SVM, which will boost transaction speeds to Solana levels. It should boost Bitcoin’s throughput of just 5.84 transactions per second (tps), which, at least for the time being, significantly falls behind Ethereum’s 22.45 tps.

That’s not all. Hyper’s off-chain batching and high throughput should slash costs dramatically. And it’s much needed; Bitcoin’s gas fees currently average at just $0.95 and often spike above $2 during periods of network congestion.

To support these developments, 30% of $HYPER’s total token supply is allocated for L2 growth and sustainability.

Buying $HYPER, currently available for just $0.012925, also grants you governance rights, staking rewards at a 70% APY, and lower gas fees.

Given that $HYPER has already raised $16.2M+ on presale and is forecasted to reach $0.32 this year, now’s a great time to join the presale while its price is low-cap.

2. Starpower ($STAR) – Tackles Global Energy Challenges via Decentralized Power Networks & RWAs

$STAR is the token behind Starpower, a decentralized energy protocol that sets out to tackle global energy challenges.

Partnering with renewable energy device manufacturers enables distributed energy resources to join virtual power plants and demand response programs. In doing so, it’s able to create a more resilient, energy-efficient ecosystem.

$STAR has some major roles within the ecosystem, like facilitating transactions, rewards, governance, staking, and contributing to project growth.

Interestingly, the coin has surged by a head-turning 159% since last week, likely uplifted by Starpower’s latest collab with GreenGiga.

Starpower announced GreenGiga partnership on X.

Together, they’re pioneering ‘RWA Solar Power-Empowered AI’ by tokenizing GreenGiga’s 10MWh solar power projects across Malaysia and Thailand.

The profits made from these real-world assets is tied directly to $STAR. This way, they help stabilize the token’s price while supporting AI computing demands with sustainable energy.

With $STAR surging and showing no signs of slowing down, now could be an opportune time to buy the token. It’s available on top exchanges – even MEXC and Binance – for roughly $0.13.

3. Snorter Token ($SNORT) – Powers Feature-Rich Telegram Trading Bot Launching Soon

Snorter Token ($SNORT) is an ERC-20 token that powers Snorter Bot, a Telegram trading bot launching this quarter.

At first, it’s set to go live on Solana, offering fees as low as 0.85% to outpace rivals like Maestro and Trojan.

Then, it plans to expand multi-chain to Ethereum, BNB Chain, and other EVM-compatible networks. By doing so, it’ll enable seamless trading across some of the major networks.

You’ll be able to leverage the bot’s advanced tools from day one. Whether you’re interested in copy trading, limit orders, or automated sniping, they’re each designed to give you a leg up in the crypto trading arena.

Also, rest assured that the bot doesn’t compromise security. It has built-in MEV protection and scam filters that block honeypots and rug pulls to ensure your assets remain safe at all times.

To get the most out of the Snorter ecosystem, you’ll want to snag some $SNORT, currently available on presale for as little as $0.1045.

Premium benefits will then become available to you, like unlimited sniping, staking rewards (currently at a 118% APY), and DAO membership.

To reap these perks, grab some $SNORT at its most affordable price today. After being listed on the best crypto exchanges, it’s anticipated to hit $0.94 this year.
